Stuv are leading Belgium manufacturers of wood burning free standing and inset stoves established in 1983 by two men Gerard Ppitance and Benoit Lafontaine who decided to join forces to develop and produce state of the art wood burning stoves. Today the company have 12o employs producing 15000 stoves a year and exports 70% of the production throughout Europe. In 2006 the company set up a new state of the art production of stoves in a 5000m2 unit located in Bois-de-Villers in Belgium. In 2008 a new 3000m2 extension to the exisiting premises this became the research and development department and the workshop for producing cladding to compliment the range of inset and freestanding stoves.
